Unlike cloud-connected services, PhantomPrompt functions entirely on your local computer. Here is our complete data inventory:

3. Apple App Store Sandbox & Local Storage
PhantomPrompt adheres strictly to Apple's macOS App Sandbox security model (com.apple.security.app-sandbox).
All local configuration data—such as your preferred reading speed, font size, column width, and backdrop transparency—is saved within your isolated, sandboxed user container at:
~/Library/Containers/com.phantomprompt.macos/Data/
This container is sandboxed by macOS and cannot be accessed by unauthorized applications, nor is it uploaded to external servers by PhantomPrompt.
4. Screen Sharing & Invisible Mode Mechanism
PhantomPrompt provides an Invisible Mode feature to assist presenters during video calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, OBS, and Loom.
This feature relies strictly on native macOS operating system APIs (NSWindowSharingNone / setContentProtection(true)). This OS flag instructs the macOS WindowServer compositor to exclude the teleprompter window from screen captures and video recordings.
Scope of this feature: PhantomPrompt does not inspect, capture, read, or intercept the video streams, network packets, or audio of your conferencing software. The exclusion is managed entirely by Apple's graphics compositor on your local machine.
5. Third-Party Subprocessors & SDKs
We do not embed third-party analytics libraries, advertising SDKs, session recording tools, or data brokers (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Amplitude, or Mixpanel) into the PhantomPrompt desktop application.
6. GDPR, CCPA & Global Privacy Rights
Under privacy regulations such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), individuals have rights to access, rectify, or delete their personal data.
Because PhantomPrompt does not collect or store any personal data on any server, there is no personal information for us to access, rectify, sell, or delete. You retain 100% unilateral control over all your data by managing your local files and settings directly on your Mac.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your scripts and preference files remain on your computer for as long as you choose to keep them. If you wish to delete all associated files, simply clear your scripts within the application or delete the application container from your Mac. No data remains on any external server.

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect future software enhancements or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
